Therapeutic Boxing Program (QLD)
Occupational Therapy
Our OT-led Therapeutic Boxing Program runs throughout the school year, from week one to week ten. Our non-contact program, designed specifically for children and young people with special needs or disabilities, is based on evidence-based practices. We set goals with the child and their families to improve coordination, fitness, motor skills, and overall well-being.
During our initial session, our Occupational Therapists conduct a thorough assessment to determine individual goals, needs, and abilities. Each 60-minute boxing session includes a variety of activities, such as non-contact boxing techniques, footwork and agility drills, coordination and balance exercises, and strength-building exercises. Our Occupational Therapists also incorporate social and emotional components, such as interactive games, positive affirmations, and mindfulness exercises.
Therapeutic Boxing is currently available for individual sessions. For group sessions, please contact us directly.

Our program encourages social interaction, community involvement, and a sense of belonging, helping build community connections.
