Paula

Art Therapist

Paula comes to EISS with an extensive academic background, including an Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy, a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Art, and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling. With over two years of experience as a Transpersonal Art Therapist at EISS and an additional 1.5 years as a counsellor, she has accumulated a wealth of practical skills.
 

Her enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents is evident, offering a creative and engaging alternative to traditional talk therapies. Furthermore, Paula has a significant interest in disability advocacy and support. She employs a client-centred approach that empowers clients to build autonomy while focusing on their unique strengths.
 

Skilled in using a wide range of artistic materials and techniques, Paula enjoys incorporating sensory engagement into her sessions. She also teaches sensory regulation techniques, making her art therapy sessions both effective and enjoyable. Through her practice, she provides opportunities for self-expression, emotional regulation, and skill development in an approachable and fun environment.
 

Outside of Art Therapy, Paula is an active artist, constantly engaged in various creative endeavours such as painting, crocheting, and creative writing. Her personal artistic pursuits not only enrich her own life but also bring added depth to her therapeutic practice.
